Hockey Clothing FAQ's
What is included in the hockey clothing section at Team Town Sports?
What are hockey base layers and why are they important?
Hockey base layers are form-fitting garments worn directly against the skin, under your equipment. They serve three main purposes: moisture wicking to draw sweat away from your skin during intense play, temperature regulation to keep you warm on cold ice and cool during high-exertion shifts, and muscle compression to support performance and reduce fatigue. A proper base layer also reduces friction between skin and protective pads, preventing chafing during long sessions.
Does Team Town Sports carry neck guards as part of hockey clothing?
Yes. In addition to traditional hard-shell neck guards in our Protective Equipment section, base-layer-integrated neck guards that combine a compression undershirt with a built-in cut-resistant collar are also available in our Clothing section.
Does Team Town Sports carry hockey training apparel for off-ice workouts?
Yes. Performance tops, compression shorts, athletic pants, and hoodies designed for hockey players are available in our Clothing section. These are built for dry-land training, gym work, and off-ice sessions using moisture-wicking, stretch-friendly fabrics that move with the body during athletic movement.
